Buffet Dinner

Last Friday, my cell has thanksgiving where we are asked to share a testimonial. So, we planned to dine out. We chose Sizzler because I wanted to try the buffet. It was gorgeous but it was quite expensive. $19.25 for salad bar buffet, while a meal cost around $20-$30, including the salad bar buffet.

Fisherman wharf which I ordered. Had it half way until I realise I need to take the picture of them!

Peppered Steak ordered by Jayde. Eaten half way as well.

One of the salad bar. Didn't manage to try all the salad because I was just too full. Learnt a lesson: the next time I go to Sizzler, should only order salad bar buffet.

The Prawn Salad that I took and the tortillas chip with avacado cream. Forgot what it's name again. Start with g.

While having our dinner, Jet, Sylvia, Yee Enn and Jack still on the queue rail because they are late. So, we just pass them few chips while they were waiting to pay for the buffet before they come in.

Ice-cream made by Chris.

Ice-cream made by me. Whose one nicer?

Me & May enjoying the desserts.

Another table of my cellies.

It's thanksgiving turn~!

Jonathan & I. Oh ya, this brother of mine remind me of Kenin! The way he speaks on the phone sounds similar with Kenin. A brother who always encourage me in the walk of Christ.

My cell leader, Joanne.. Yeah, this semester again. Thank God for that!

Taken with all the girls.

Curtin Open Day

Sorry to all dear readers for keeping you so long without any update. I just realise it is already one month. Wow!! Time flies.. Anyway, have been very busy these few weeks. Busy with Curtin Open Day, my chemical engineering club (ACES), JCLA project, school work and social times.

Anyway, just an update for you. My JCLA project is going good. We managed to get all the schools to donate us single ream of A4 printing paper to print out our brochures. We collected a total of 29 reams of A4 paper. To cover the printing cost, the three of us worked out a sausage sizzle and managed to earn $207. We were lucky to get someone selling us sausages which we can return the leftover and just paying for the sausages we used and free buns as well. But.. There's always not an easy job. Radoman and I went to look for the printing companies and no company want to sponsor us printing the RFDS brochures. Too bad.. But at last, we managed to find a considerably cheap price for printing 10,000 paper. Due to our financial problem, we could not manage to print all the 14,000 paper that we had collected. Even the cost of printing 10,000 paper still cost us $300. So, finally, due to the busyness of preparing for exam, Radoman decided that three of us just spend $35 each to cover the cost to save all troubles.

I have been blessed so much with a bunch of good chemical friends supporting me behind, support everything that I do, giving advice at times. They make up my life. Besides, in this JCLA, I am so blessed to have two smart and capable group mates that works very well together with me. Radoman is actually a genius according to what I hear from others. Got a consecutive of three years of Vice-Chancellor List. He is having his final semester now and working his final year project, as his part time job!

The first memorable event that occured this month would be the Curtin Open Day. Although I didn't manage to tour around the uni and only managed to talk with my chemistry lecturer, Dr Steve who is the head department of applied chemistry, I did find it very happening in the uni although the weather is not good. We have different departments doing different things which are related to their disciplines. There are few things going on in the chemistry building that day, which is distillation of alcohol, making ice-cream with liquid nitrogen and fingerprint for the forensic. But too bad.. All this I didn't manage to witness with my own eyes. Everything is known through my conversation with Dr Steve. Must be there to visit again next year. Bringing my sis who will be here choosing her course in year 2009.

Clement (ACES president), David (ACES president), Asif and Steven. I was the camera "lady". Asif and Steven are my course mates.

The shirt looks small for me, right?? But that was the only one for lady. Should have asked David took the usual one for me. But is ok. Meaning, I have to keep fit! Oh ya, ACES is selling pizzas and drinks. The Freddo was just for my church. We were fundraising for the 10 year anniversary celebration in Perth Convention Centre.

Showing off our pizzas.

My chemical friends were actually having a picnic that day. But I couldn't go because I was planning to stay in Curtin to observe, meanwhile helping as well how the whole procedure goes since I will be taking up the committee post next year. But my chemical friends are just good enough to drop by my house bringing the food for me! How sweet are them..

Brownies and Apam Balik made by Winny. She knows that I miss Brownies and she made it especially for me. Drop by at my house for an hour with girls chatting.

Zhao Ying's seafood pasta and Bido's salad. The seafood pasta was so much that I have to share with my three other housemates.

Just to show you how much the pasta is!

Egg sandwich made by Kelvin.

All engineering food on that day!
