Rachel's Baptism

I went to Rachel's baptism last Saturday held in South Perth Church of Christ. Looking at the candidates to be baptised, it reminds me of how God has died for our sins. I was so touched with the testimonials that they have shared as well. Oh yea, happy 1 year old Kenin.

Jonathan's 21st birthday

We celebrated Jono's 21st birthday last Friday. So, I have to skip a week of cell group. Went to Burswood hotel to have buffet dinner which cost me $47.50. But it was worthwhile with the oysters and salmon. I got to eat sio bee as well although it was not as nice as Kuching's or Sibu's, but at least it still satisfy me. The buffet dinner was just like a heaven of food for me. Too much food to be filled in my stomach.

Later, we went to the casino and had a look. Then, Jet fetch his mum and sis home, while me, Sylvia, Yee Enn, Kelvin, and Jack went to the Ruby Room clubbing. Had vodka redbull again. I love that drink.

Lab is not a rush!

Starting the day with a very good mood after calling my mum and ending with a very very bad mood after a just-two-hours lab, although it normally takes three hours.

What ruins my mood?? In our lab today which is on kinetics, a lab which is easier than the organic part, we were asked to group in two and do two different sets of experiments and then, we share the results with the other two person. So, Carmen and I in a group with Zhao Ying and Winny in a group. So, we chose the sets of experiments which we want to do and we did the experiments but Zhao Ying them just did one of the experiment and copied the senior's report for the rest. I can't blame them as well because we have different views in doing lab. All they want is just to copy and finish early while me, on the other hand, want to do it properly and with my own results determine the actual rate constant. I have to admit, with the senior reports are much easier for us to do the lab, which help us in all those calculations stuff. But not the results. If not, why are we in the laboratory?? This situation has been happening throughout the whole semester. I have been trying to tolerate since the beginning of the lab and I hope my tolerance will be good enough to tolerate one more last lab.. God, help me. I need Your strength.

Is my fault also to feel tense and stress when people around me is finishing while I am still doing the experiment. Or else I would still be finishing the whole experiment by myself in the lab rather than just copying the answer that they given me. I guess I have that kind of feeling because I used to finish the earliest in Curtin Miri lab during my foundation. I need to change this. But how?? Next week is already my last chemistry lab. Haiz. Haiz. Haiz.

One more thing is the lab instructor today. I really get pissed off with the lab instructor who keep rushing us to finish the whole thing and cleaning all of the beakers when it was just 4.30 when our lab is supposed to finish at 6! I really hate people rushing me doing things.

Multi~Cultural Week 2007

Last week was multicultural week in Curtin. We had Oceania Day on Monday, America Day on Tuesday, Africa Day on Wednesday, Europe Day on Thursday and Asia Day on Firday. Woo~~!! I wrote calligraphy in the morning, when passing by the stall to my lecture hall. Pasar Malam was chosen to be the closing event for the multicultural week and also one of the highlights. I felt so "Asia" that night. The Pasar Malam was just something like Malaysia's one. But with more varieties, which include, Indonesia, Thailand, Japanese, and not to miss out Malaysia's delicacies. Though some of the food is not as nice as in Malaysia, but still I got some Malaysian food, like Ais Kacang, satay, nasi briyani, teh tarik and lots lots more.

Didgeridoo~

I miss lion dance. This is my first time watching lion dance this year. I don't get to watch this year Chinese New Year because I had to fly from Labuan to Perth on the first day of Chinese New Year. I truly miss home.
After the Pasar Malam, we were off for cell group.

Hardworking people reading bible, except me~

May wrote that when Joanne was talking. Haha~~

Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner

It was Mid-Autumn Festival on 25th September 2007 in chinese calendar. It is a festival for all family members to gather together and chit chat.

Well, being alone in Perth made me miss home especially that day. But I am definitely not celebrating by me myself alone. Went to watch movie in the morning and shopping in the afternoon with my dearly chemical friends. Watched Stardust. It was a good movie. Like it! Then, go shopping in the city. It has been a long long time since I last go to city. I think was 1 month ago??

Had my reunion dinner in Jack's house. My cousin. We cooked some of the dishes and brought there. Asked Jonathan along but he fell asleep at 7!! Must be too tired. So, we had to leave him sleeping at home.

Jet bought the pork ribs and fried the bean sprouts. Oh ya, Jet is a cook. So, we got to have nice food that night.

I cooked that tomato cheese chicken on the top left.

Fish soup cooked by Jet.

Curtin Miri Prom Night 2007

29th September 2007 marked Aileen's 20th birthday and also Curtin Miri Prom Night. This year, Curtin Prom Night was held in Parkcity Everly hotel. Good news for the girls were the buffet meal because I believe the guys would be gentleman enough to serve the girls. But, too bad I was not there. Missing out all the fun, especially when whole bunch of friends were going together. That would be great.
